Tungsten Wedding Bands |

alright the wedding is on 9-4-2010 and i just got my fiancees ring in that i ordered off of ebay. a Tungsten Carbide Ring. we read up on tungsten rings and everyone says that they run small so you need to get it a little bigger. well, i got it her usual size (5.5) thinking if anything it will be a little snug, and the band is too big! i dont know what to do. she has been married before so she still has her old ring so we were thinking of just using that one until we can get a good one custom fitted. suggestions? we live in houston, tx

Tungsten cannot be resized, well it probably, could, but it is not worth it. It is a very tough metal, almost like rock that will break or shatter.

Either buy a new ring from a jewler that she can try on so you know it first and return the one your ordered from online.

Or

Order another ring. In the mean time, use the ring you have and she can wedge a folded up peice of tissue to keep it from slipping off. You can keep this ring as a keepsake and she can wear something else for everyday.

Do not use her old ring. That is just plain tacky.

I’ve recently purchased a Tungsten Carbide ring because I noticed a website was selling it for pretty cheap. After looking up the material I noticed that I can only find reasons for the ring to be used as a wedding bands. I planned on just wearing it on my non ring fingers because I was reading how it was more durable and scratch resistant than any other ring. I understand the concept of "just do what you want who cares what others think," but I was wondering if anyone else has heard of using Tungsten Carbide Rings as a fashion accessory instead of as a wedding band. I am a guy by the way.
